Roovi is our way of saying Groovy!

With the Roovi’s 27.5” tires this is the “29er” for kids! There are many benefits with a larger wheel.  Bigger wheels mean you can roll over more obstacles without getting caught up in them.  There is also more traction (technically the contact patch) compared to a 26” wheel.  

A larger wheel doesn’t mean the bike is bigger.  We designed the Roovi to “fit” very similar to a 26” wheel.  We achieve this through the Roovi’s Ride Right Geometry.  The geometry allows riders to sit in the bike rather than on top of it.  The low bottom bracket height and low standover are among some of the features that get your little one into the Roovi and sitting in a position that is between the front and rear wheels.  This not only helps with balance on the bike but offers a secure position for riders as they encounter obstacles on or off the trail.

As a stock bike the Roovi is awesome for almost any terrain you can throw at it…from the local sidewalk to neighborhood trails.  If you find that your little one craves trails more than pavement the Roovi can be easily upgraded to a suspension fork and tubeless off road tires. Tubeless ready rims make switching over a breeze.  When swapping the rigid fork to the 100mm RST F1RST suspension fork the Roovi’s head tube angle changes from 69 degrees to 67 degrees becoming more slack, a good feature for offroad riding. If you select the suspension fork at the time of purchase we will install it for you and include the original ridged fork with your bike, just in case you want to switch it back at a later date. If you find you little one is ready for suspension after you purchased your Reyes and you would like to purchase a suspension fork later just shoot us an email and depending on inventory we can get one out to you at the same cost as the original, info@pellobikes.com.

The Shimano Altus drivetrain is smooth and the trigger shifter is intuitive for any rider’s ability.  With 9 speeds Roovi is ready to tackle any terrain you encounter.  Our very own designed crankset keeps with our Ride Right Geometry to provide a great fit on the bike right out of the box.  Our philosophy has always been that a child should grow out of the bike and not struggle to grow into it…a Pello is meant to fit great from the first pedal stroke.
